DAS served as General Contractor for the renovation of the Worcester Public Library, one of Massachusetts' most significant public library facilities. The project modernized key areas of the historic building while enhancing accessibility, functionality, and the overall visitor experience for library patrons and staff.

The work included renovations to the first floor and portions of the third floor, enclosure of the existing exterior arcade along Salem Street, construction of a new entrance from Franklin Street, waterproofing and reconstruction of the south entry plaza, and the relocation and rebuilding of the Children's Library. Additional improvements included the renovation of public program spaces and upgraded infrastructure to support modern library services.

Careful coordination was required to execute the work within an active facility while preserving the building's historic character and maintaining its role as a community resource. The completed project created modern, flexible spaces for learning, technology, collaboration, and public programming, ensuring the Worcester Public Library continues to serve residents for generations to come.
