UMass Berlin Wall Installation - 2023

DAS provided General Contractor services for the unique and historic art installation of a salvaged piece of the Berlin Wall on the UMass Amherst campus.

In the 1980s, artist Thierry Noir began to use the western side of the Berlin Wall as a canvas for his graffiti art, eventually painting nearly six kilometers of the Berlin Wall over five years. After the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, pieces of the Wall have come to symbolize courage, freedom, and democratic change.

This project took a lot of coordination and planning, and was completed under a very tight schedule.
