DAS provided General Contracting services for this project in Athol, MA, which included the renovation and addition to the existing library.

 

This library is one of the first of its kind to attempt and achieve LEED Platinum certification. The work included renovation to a historic 1915 masonry library building, originally funded by Andrew Carnegie. The addition is a masonry veneer on a steel frame and included site work, selective demolition, and considerable temporary facilities to protect the existing building. DAS received two exemplary performance credits associated with the Platinum level for recycled and regional credits.
