D.A. Sullivan and Sons, Inc. is renovating the existing laboratory space and building a new addition to the west end of the building.
The $11 million dollar project is expected to be completed in January of 2013 and includes the following renovations, installations, and new construction:
∙    New mechanical addition (west end of Goessmann Addition)
∙    Lab renovations
∙    New ventilation
∙    New heating and air conditioning via central chiller
∙    Second central fume hood exhaust system
∙    Separate potable/non-potable water systems
∙    New lab waste and neutralization systems
∙    New tempered water loop for safety stations
∙    Sprinkler system
∙    Generator
∙    Wireless internet
∙    New roof on Goessmann Addition


UMass Lederle Laboratory, Amherst, MA

D.A. Sullivan and Sons, Inc. is renovating the exiting laboratory spaces in Tower A, B, and C. Using grants provided by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, renovations to laboratories in Towers A and C have begun. Work for this $8.5 million dollar project is expected to be completed in October of next year.

D.A. Sullivan and Sons, Inc. is renovating an existing laboratory space on a site that is approximately one-quarter acre in size. The $7.8M project includes interior demolition, construction of exterior and interior improvements, structural systems installation, a new rooftop structure for new mechanical units, installation of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC system, and reconstruction and improvements to the existing parking area.

D.A. Sullivan and Sons, Inc. is overseeing Life Safety Upgrades to existing buildings as well as the new construction of a boys’ dormitory and a girls’ dormitory for this $10.9M project.

DAS is the acting OPM for the renovation and expansion (to approximately 37,140 square feet. The goal of the $14.5M project is to retain the character of the existing building and accommodate community needs for at least the next 20 years.
